If fish scales appear in all or most of the holes, the clay is too dry, the surface of the core head is rough or the design is wrong, and the molding moisture should be adjusted and the core head should be trimmed. If the rib between the two holes is pulled out of the regular crescent-shaped pattern and the crack has penetrated, the mud flow is insufficient. The slope of the core head on both sides should be ground to increase the mud flow channel.
